                Mahatma Gandhi is undoubtedly one of the most influential persons   of 20th century. As the mission was started by our revered Ayya Avl, every   effort is being taken to fulfill his wishes through the teachings of great  philosopher Mahatma Gandhi. Centre for Studies on Mahatma can go a  long way in making education more meaningful and purposeful.

               The Gandhian Studies Centre at Avinashilingam University for Women was established under the scheme of Epoch Making Social Thinkers of India during X Plan Period (2005-06 to 2006-07). It was inaugurated on 20.12.2005 by Dr.K.Kulandaivel, the then Chancellor, Avinashilingam University for Women
