admission procedure
For admission to the Ist year B.A., B.Sc., B.B.A.,
B.C.A., B.P.E., B.Com. and B.Sc. B.Ed., M.Ed., Degree
Programmes, the applicant must have completed seventeen years of age
as on 1st July, 2012.
Application for admission to the first year of the
Bachelor's Degree programmes should be sent within ten days of
publication of the results of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary
Examinations to the Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home
Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 43, in the prescribed application form
available in the office on payment of Rs.50/- in cash or D.D.
drawn in favour of the Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for
Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 43 payable at Coimbatore together with a
self addressed stamped envelope for Rs.15/-(23x10 cms in size);
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates belonging to Tamil
Nadu can get the prospectus and application form by paying 50% of
cost of application on production of an attested copy of Community
Certificate and the Higher Secondary Examination Mark list.
The application form
complete in all respects including two passport size photograph along
with (1) a copy of the mark sheet of the qualifying examination
passed or Internet marks (2) a copy of the Transfer
Certificate, (3) a copy of the Conduct Certificate from the Head
of the Institution last studied, (4) a copy of the Community
Certificate and (5) Medical Fitness Certificate should be
submitted within the specified date to the office. Failure to
produce these documents will result in the rejection of the
application. Separate application forms must be used for each of
the courses.
Spot
Admission
Spot admission will be given based on marks for all
the Under Graduate Courses. The candidates are advised to produce
the Internet Mark sheets (+2) and apply immediately for registration
and admission. Registration of an application does not guarantee
admission.
Documents to be submitted
The following documents must be submitted in original
on or before the commencement of the classes, failing which
admission will be cancelled.
1. Three attested copies of
Higher Secondary Examination mark sheet/Pre-Degree mark sheet along
with the original
certificate.
2. Transfer Certificate / School
/College Leaving Certificate
3. Conduct Certificate from the
Head of the Institution in which the candidate last studied.
4. Community Certificate from the
relevant government departments of the respective states in the case
of SC / ST / OBC and Denotified Tribes (two attested
copies) and
5. Medical Fitness Certificate
from the Govt. Civil Surgeon.
If the original mark certificates are found to be
fake at any point of time, the authorities reserve the right to
cancel the admission and take criminal action against the candidate
as per rules.
