Library: Resources, Facilities and Services

School of Education Library was established in the year 2003 in Campus II to meet the diversified needs of the Teachers and Student Teachers of the departments of Education, Physical Education and Special Education. The Library is housed in the ground floor of the School of Education and its area is 1250 sq ft. Open access and colon Classification is being adopted.At a time 50 users can be accommodated. There are 5 systems for accessing the internet resources and e-resources. Library is a member of eSS (e-Shodhsindhu Consortium), DELNET (Developing Library Network), NDL (National Digital Library) and Bookshare.org (Accessible online Library for persons with print disabilities).

Library is fully computerised with in-house software; Access to Library databases through OPAC; Digital Library using dSpace; Accessing e-resources and internet resources ; Disabled friendly Library; Reaching the society through Mobile Library; Green Initiative-Pest control using indigenous materials; Best Practice- Book talk Programme.

Services & Facilities

The Library offers the services such as : circulation, remote access to online resources, reference, current awareness service, OPAC, e-gate, bulletin board, user orientation programme, ILL (inter library loan), newspaper clipping service, reprography, digital library, service to visually challenged, research support and current content.
