Library Orientation and Training

  • Library provides a student induction program for first-year students at the beginning of every academic year. This orientation is designed to introduce the students to the library’s resources and to impart knowledge and training on the use of both print and electronic resources; to acquaint students on facilities and services provided by the Library; to familiarise various sections of Library; using Library online catalogue and to make aware of rules and regulations.
  • Besides this interactive / training session for various subscribed databases by the Library such as EBSCO, SCOPUS, Scifinder, Capitaline, EPWRF, Economic Outlook, Indiastat, DELNET etc. are organized for the readers in order to acquaint them with these databases to get the optimum result. These sessions are provided in a computer lab with a hands-on sessions.
  • The training cum user awareness workshop is organised by the Library whenever new activities/ initiative/ subscription/ trial access is provided to the readers. This programme is organized for getting familiar with the product and to learn to use it.
