Working in accordance with the vision of the university, the Department of English facilitates development and empowerment of women through literature and communication skills in English

Mission

To make women candidates as scholars of literature through need-based competent curriculum offering scope for enormous job opportunities in research, media and other sectors where language skills are required.

Literature is the reflection of society, its culture, values and traditions through the medium of language. While Literature embodies the cognitive aspects, language translates these into expressions and actions. A course in language is basic to the understanding of life and its meaning.

The Department is ICT enabled with Wi-fi connectivity, Four class rooms with LCD projectors and one class room with interactive board for facilitating teaching-learning process, Softwares like SPSS, Stata and Eviews to train and teach undergraduate and postgraduate students advanced statistical and Econometric tools.
