Development of digital content in Indian language

  • Two senior faculty members are nominated to become certified Master Trainers for hand-holding of the Universities/HEIs on ‘Content Creation and Teaching through Bharatiya Languages’. The nominated master trainers were trained as a joint initiative by UGC and Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti (BBS).

  • Based on the UGC Notification regarding the Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Writing Original Text-Books in 12 Indian Languages for the UG level courses in the different subjects of Arts, Science and Social Sciences, the institute has sent Acceptance and Expression of Interest(EoI) to UGC or 37 textbooks

Indian Knowledge System in curriculum

The Institute has integrated the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) as a 6-credit course beginning from the Academic Year 2024–2025, offered across 10 departments with a total of 14 newly developed courses. These courses aim to embed India’s civilizational knowledge, culture, science, and values into higher education while promoting interdisciplinary understanding.

  • Successfully implemented an IKS-funded “Karma Yoga” project worth ₹10 lakh, fostering a strong connection between academic learning, values, and community engagement.
  • Introduced a Certificate Course – IIKC: Incredible Indian Knowledge and Culture (2 credits), offered through the Avinashilingam Centre for International Education (ACIE).
  • The Centre for Continuing Education offers certification programmes in Vedic Mathematics, including Vedic Mathematics for Competitive Examinations and Advanced Vedic Mathematics, along with a collaborative certificate course with L&T Edutech Educate India, Chennai.
