Library is organising “Voices in Print: Quiz Competition on Newspapers” for UG and PG students of both the campuses to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Indian Library Science, on 12^th August 2026

Newspaper Reading Period

• Four daily newspapers subscribed by the library- The Hindu, Dinamalar, The Times of India, and The Indian Express—covering the period 06^th July 2026 to 18^th July 2026 will be displayed in the Library.
• The newspapers will be available for students to read and take notes from 20^th July 2026 (today) to 04^th August 2026.
• Kindly register using the registration link  https://tinyurl.com/yzjh4e4r 
• Registered participants are required to visit the library during the newspaper display period.

Quiz Format

• The quiz will be conducted in teams of two participants.
• It will consist of two rounds: Preliminary Round &   Final Round
• Questions will require one-word answer based on news items published in the newspapers displayed.

Preliminary Round: 

• A written quiz competition will be conducted on 05^th August 2026 at the respective libraries.

Final Round:   

• The final quiz will be held on 07^th August 2026.
• Questions will be based on the editions of the four newspapers published on 06^th August 2026.
• Three winning teams will be selected based on the correctness of the answers and the time taken to complete the question.

Prize Distribution

• Prizes will be distributed during the celebration of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's Birth Anniversary on 12^th August 2026.
